End of Day 2 - Bath

Made it to our final destination after 115 miles - Matt & Hazel's house in Box near Bath. A wonderful dinner was provided for which we are truly grateful. The photo is of us in front of the Royal Crescent in Bath, a World Heritage city.

A poor showing from the team I'm afraid. Only two managed a whisky, and even they requested small ones! Simon' thighs have grown alarmingly! Anyone putting the team up should be prepared for somewhat unsettling talk and about blisters, chafing and lubrication in strange areas of the body. We assume that Simon's constant talk of the need to apply vaseline to his nipples was to do with cycling, and not just a fantasy? Seriously, when you see them arriving wet and tired at 10pm after 115 miles you realise just how much they are all putting into this endeavour. It was great to see everybody and we will not forget the visit in a hurry - if only because of the pervading odours of soggy lycra and smelly cycling shoes!
