What a day! We've covered 115 miles and climbed 4000m. Despite an early start we only arrived at our B&B at 10.30pm. We've cycled the entire south coast of cornwall and been on 3 ferries across rivers. The end of the day involved a long climb up on to Dartmoor. We are staying at postbridge and will upload a pic of the famous clapper bridge tomorrow. All in all this first day was tough. The B&B owner says that most people take 2 days to get this far.
And we have to do it all again tomorrow! We'll be cycling through Exeter, Taunton and the across the somerset levels to Cheddar Gorge and then onward to Bath. There will be a few less hills but we still have to cover 119 miles. And it might rain :-(
