Met by Izzy and Jude

We had an escort when we arrived at Viv's (some know her as trouty ;-) ) and Steve's (some know him as flipper.) Izzy and Jude raced us down the street. Si won!

An easy day tomorrow as we only have 65 miles to cover and will pass through Northwich and visit the Anderton Boat Lift and then on to Grappenhall for the quaint cobbly street and through to Stockton Heath for Lunch. After that it's the sights of Warrington (the Golden Gates) and a scenic route through Orford (birth place of Chris Evans) and then through Haydock and North past Northern Diver in Appley Bridge up to a place called Dangerous Corner.

A big thank you again for hospitality and laundry facilities at Hilary's last night.

S.

Message from Bawtry Mayflower Junior Road Safety Officer, 1979-80: Shouldn't those children be wearing helmets? It's all very well making your Dad and his mates wear one all the time for 1,000 miles - but then not wearing one yourself, tsk, tsk!
